Spirals of deceit and dreams surround me
confusing with words you once swore true.
Riding on hope like a mode for movement
Taming the lies I wish I could see through.
Sweetly scented samples of lust controlled me
reflected off a mirror tinted to my delight.
Trust was evident and showed naivety in me
I praised the reflection shone with false light.
Too blinded to care to look at limitations
a fogged up reality made it hard to deny.
Tainted visions presented an absent love
I dreamed of good intentions with hopes high.
Dehydrated from tears that wouldn't stay in
